Chris has coached me for 3 years. Starting as a novice in Duathlon to winning 3 World Championships. Chris has been able to structure sessions based on his scientific testing and using the data to optimise my performance. Chris is both knowledgeable and experienced an coach. Someone I've fully trusted to manage my coaching programmes and I have full confidence in him to get the best out of me.

I’ve found Chris and the team so helpful this year. I wanted to find a “technical” coach because I’ve self-coached for years and wanted someone who could help me diagnose a couple of performance ‘ceilings’ and hit the next level for my races. Chris helped me make progress with a recurring stitch I’ve suffered in races and honed my running skills in particular with a focus on S&C, leading to my most successful year in racing yet, including several outright wins and podiums. Thanks team!

Chris has helped with the East Midlands Triathlon Academy (EMTA) for a number of years and has had a real impact on their learning and development as athletes. Specifically, Chris has organised technical swim days for the academy where he has delivered simple but effective swim education sessions, followed by in- 1:1 stroke analysis and in-depth feedback to all athletes. Every athlete took away key learnings from the day that they could go away and work on in the daily training environment. Several athletes have had further analysis, and all have made significant improvements on their stroke and swim times. I would highly recommend Chris as a coach and his ability to help you develop as an athlete.

Chris has been coaching my swimming for over two years and in that time I have made incredible progress. Chris achieves this through thorough analysis, crystal clear communication and constant feedback when things have gone well or need further work. There are times when I haven’t instantly understood feedback so Chris has always taken the time to explain things in a different way and to repeat this until I’ve grasped the concept and been able to regularly put it into practice. He’ll then encourage use of drills to ensure this is engrained into the full stroke. Some of the key technical points that have improved are stroke timing, rhythm of kick with the rest of the stroke, hand entry point and timing, head position and lots more. All of this has led to a 7 minute improvement in my Ironman swim split PB and 4 minute improvement on my half distance swim split PB.

One to one swim sessions have really helped progress my swim. By looking at my stroke and analysing where improvements can be made allows specific swim drills to be tailored to improve my technique. It’s especially invaluable when making sure the drills are executed correctly whilst understanding what they mean and how this translates into improved swim efficiency and swim times.

My recent 1:1 swim coaching session with Chris was excellent. He was quickly able to identify key areas of improvement and focus in my swim technique and spent a lot of time really ensuring I understood how to implement the small changes that would make the biggest difference. I now have some key areas to work on in the pool and already in the few weeks following this I am seeing a significant increase in my efficiency in the water and my times are already reducing. I would thoroughly recommend Chris and particularly the 1:1 sessions as he is patient, thorough, encouraging and extremely knowledgeable and will tailor the session for you and your needs.

I've been working with Chris for almost 3 years after spending the preceding 7 either self 'coached' or spending little time with other coaches. When I first met Chris his calm, confident, athlete-focussed approach immediately stood out. The environment Chris creates is extremely supportive and motivating yet highly focussed on outcomes. Chris does everything to help you reach your goals and more - I love that racing mentality. Results for me came quickly for me and have achieved more than I thought possible, including KQ and big PBs. Every session, every training block has a purpose and going into races I know exactly the race plan - it is massively reassuring to know I have Chris in my corner come race day.

I received a bespoke personal approach from Chris that worked both ways, Chris listened and adjusted when necessary to ensure my goals where achieved. Not only where they achieved Chris had the belief which he instilled in me to find the extra which enabled me to sup-pas my goals achieving a string of results including course records, national titles and a season of top 3 finishes. Chris was also supportive and understanding when I stepped away from competition for personal reasons. Personable, approachable, understanding and a highly skilled scientifically based approach to coaching. A great experience working with Chris, he truly cares about his athletes and wants the best for them.

I have been coached by Chris for 3 seasons now and have achieved so much from Age Group Qualification to doing my first Long Course Half Event in Mallorca last year where I took the top podium spot. Chris is a knowledgeable, patient, encouraging and professional coach and will work around real life to help you accomplish your goals.

I have been working with Chris for the past 2 years and he has totally transformed my racing from an average age grouper to first season pro. Chris goes above and beyond to ensure you are able to perform to the best of your ability come race day. If you are looking for a coach to work with, I would definitely recommend Chris

Chris is a really knowledgable guy who works with you to get the best out of you with the time available.

Chris is a fantastic coach. Progressive, informative with buckets of patience and a great supportive/challenging style. Particularly helpful skills when injury ridden!

The man is a wizard: it took him less than 2 years to turn a time-poor working mum into a Kona qualifier! All on around 7hrs of bespoke training a week carefully tailored to me, my work and travel schedules, and my niggles and freak-unlucky injuries. Magic potion ingredients seem to include - but are not limited to - patience, honesty, flexibility and assuredness.
